SUPERMODERN 2009NEXEDGE® has been awarded the SUPERMODERN 2009 prize at the EUROPOLTECH 2009 International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services, held in Warsaw, April 22-24. The winners each year are selected by the EUROPOLTECH Programme Council, which includes the deputy chief commanders of the Polish police and national security services.

This prestigious prize is given to the most technologically advanced products of the greatest usefulness to public safety professionals, and which feature novel technical solutions and unique operational qualities. Also cited was its support for both conventional FM and new digital systems, and the fact that "conversion or expansion only requires software options and/or additional base station units, i.e., no 'major' upgrading."

The award ceremony, which took place at the exhibition, was attended by representatives of Elektrit Sp. z o.o., Kenwood's distributor, whose booth featured NEXEDGE® and other Kenwood products on display.
